Alexander Scientific Maintenance Limited is a specialist spectroscopy service company established in 2008 to provide on-site maintenance, calibration and performance validation for an extensive range of UV/Visible Spectrophotometers, Fluorescence Spectrophotometers and Microplate Readers. We also offer IQ OQ PQ, repair of instruments and staff training.
We have the necessary spectroscopy experience to undertake the repair/service and performance verification of your instruments. Fixed price planned service visits will verify if your instruments are complying with performance specifications laid down by the manufacturer or other regulatory bodies.
To ensure the generation of reliable analytical data, or to comply with regulatory procedures (such as GLP, GMP, GXP or ISO, it is recommended that the performance of laboratory spectrophotometers and plate readers should be periodically verified using Certified reference Materials (CRMs) and the results fully documented.
European Pharmacopoeia 2.2.25 and United States Pharmacopoeia Chapter 857 performance testing for UV/Visible Spectrophotometers is also available.
Alexander Scientific Maintenance Limited operates an internal Spectroscopy Service and Calibration Quality Management System. The intention is to provide high quality maintenance and calibration for all our customers including those operating Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) quality control systems.
All Certified Reference Materials used during service visits are accompanied with a calibration certificate providing the expected values and the associated uncertainty. They also provide a statement of metrological traceability. Our Certified Reference Materials are traceable to Standard Reference Materials produced by the the American Metrology Institute of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
